I recently got back from a couple days at our cabin for the Thanksgiving long weekend, and I've noticed a bit of a paradox about myself: there are times when I'm in the city and just want to escape to our cabin, yet when I'm at the cabin, there are times when I just want to be home. The logical, hypothetical answer? A house of portals!
Keeping with my "Happy Places", I feel that the only solution to my issue would be a house with two portals, one on either end. The first would open onto a street corner in the middle of a bustling, modern metropolis (Toronto, New York, etc.). The other other, located at the back entrance, would take me to the absolute middle of nowhere, preferably to a canyon or valley somewhere from the Alberta Badlands on down to Arizona.
Or maybe I just save up my moneys and get out some more?
Cheers!
